Reflection

The Boston trip over all was pretty fun. I got to strengthen my relationship with my peers very well, as well as experience a lot of history that many people are not able to. My favorite part of the trip was on the cruise dinner where our ship went right past the Airport and I got to experience both big and small planes fly over head(one of the coolest sounds you will ever hear). I think that for next year the teachers should ask that the kids wake up a little later than when we did, just because its hard falling asleep in those rooms especially with the time change. I learned a lot about the American Revolution and how it impacted lots of people from the eyes of our tour guide, and got to see many important places like Lexington where the first battle took place between the British and the Colonists.

From the two colleges we visited, I would prefer an urban college just because its a little more spaced out and sometimes it can be overwhelming going to college in a big city. The size of the school doesn't really matter for me, as long as I am getting the education I need. I might prefer a smaller college because I plan on going to an Aviation college, so less students might give me more opportunities to gain flying time. The tours did not really effect my view on colleges, as I have visited the colleges of my choice before and the tours did not really have a big impact on me.

Thursday

Today was a little nicer and more relaxing, being the last day of our trip. We left on the bus at 8:15 for our first tour of the day, which was a relaxing tour through Salem. We toured the city of Salem and walked through a graveyard where the people who got hung for the witchcraft were buried. We got to see the characters from "The Crucible"'s tombstones that said if they were hung or crushed. We then visited a Chinese Art museum which had some pretty cool artifacts in it, with lots of shiny silver and gold, but lots of people decided to just relax in the food area and wait for everyone to be finished.

Lunch wasn't bad, but it was pretty simple and bland, which everyone expected because it was a run down deli. We boarded the bus and headed out to an area with the Seven Gables House that had a really sick candy store, and I walked down to the water's edge and laid down on a granite bench and just enjoyed the blue sky with very scattered clouds.

For the evening we went to this little shopping/village antique place where there were lots of places to eat and there was another really cool candy store where we spent three hours just walking around and chilling out. We went to go see a funny play that had a lot of improv that involved the crowd, it was hella cool. So we are going to wake up really early tomorrow and go on our return flight :)

Wednesday

After getting little sleep from the night before, as usual, we got on the bus after breakfast and headed out with our tour guide Steve. We headed to visit another college and the tour was pretty boring, after listening to an hour lecture about the school before. We got to see the campus that was located in a more urban setting, but I don't think I'll be going to college there. We went to Harvard Square for lunch and met this really chill guy when we were waiting for the teachers and then bizzounced over to Harvard, where we got an informal tour of the campus by Steve.

We went to visit two places in the outskirts of Boston, which was pretty interesting about where some important figures were buried and we got to see where the first shots and battle went down between the British and the Colonists.

For dinner and the evening event we went to a huge mall to get dinner and then watched Righteous to Kill. Now we're back in the hotel trying to sleep waiting for another interesting day ahead...

Our first tour day

Well we had to get up really early at like 4:30AM cali time, and I'm not adjusted to the time change....so....I didn't wake up very easily. After breakfast we hopped aboard our party bus and went to downtown Boston and got a tour from a tweaker tour guide of Fenway Park. He liked to flirt with Shannon and Ariel, but overall was a pretty interesting tour guide.

We went down the freedom trial and stopped in a bakery where mostly everyone got something to eat because the breakfast at the hotel pretty much sucked, and then we were back on the bus to go visit one of the Boston Colleges.

For dinner we went on a cruise dinner which was pretty nice with a pretty good DJ(he shoulda had more techno, heck yes) and to be honest it wasn't the place to be at man. There were hella old guys and girls who were drunk dancing and workin up on eachother....kyle even got suprise grinded by a 50 year old guy...which was kinda sketch, but I went back up to the top deck with some friends and we watched planes fly very low by to land at KBOS(Boston intl. airport).
So thats pretty much it, it was a really tiring day because no one had any energy and we somehow managed to go on 6 tours today....but now we're all just chillin in our hotel rooms trapped and trying to go to sleep.

we're still in school....this isn't fun....LETS GO TO BOSTON already...we have to fly united
